Surgery is almost here!

Well, as most of you know I will be going in to have surgery on the 2nd of December. It is a good thing, a hysterectomy, bladder repair with sling, and hernia repair. I will be down for a while, so no Tuacahn or Casablanca:( If there is anything you need for Christmas gifts I am hoping you can let me know ASAP! My items make great gifts for anyone. Big change on my Candy Wrapper Purses!

I have made some big changes to my Wrapper Bags. They are now made out of Wrappers & Duct Tape. A few of my customers were having problems with the handles, so what can fix anything? DUCT TAPE!! I love the bags this way they are so durable, and easy to carry around this way! The price has also dropped to $20.00-small, $30.00-Medium, and $40.00 for the Large.

Fall Fest Casablanca

This is my booth at the Fall Fest at the Casablanca here in Mesquite. I was in a dark corner!

But, I still had fun and met lots of nice people!

I had a great time at the Smokin' in Mesquite BBQ Competition. I met so many neat people. I did really well that weekend. People really appreciate my Trash to Treasure items.

I made lots of stuff & I'm glad I did!

Carrie did a great job of putting it together. I will definitely do it again next year!!

Can you believe it?? I have finally finished some of my candy wrapper bags!! People are quite impressed by them! I love making them!! If your interested I sell the large for $60.00, the medium for $45.00, and the small for $30.00. Thanks everyone

More fun at Tuacahn Saturday Market!

What a nice weekend to be in Tuacahn! I have never been in bad weather up there!

I finally figured out a good way to hang my bags, so I can display more of them.

Tuacahn Saturday Market!

I am now joining the Tuacahn Saturday Market every Saturday. I love it up there. It is such beautiful scenery. The booths are also very inexpensive, and the people up there couldn't be any nicer. If your up in the area you should stop by & check it out. There is live entertainment, and a bounce house for the kids. You can also check it out on Tuacahn's website.

My table of magnets. There are usually 10-20 different vendors. It is also free to get into. Come check it out, you and your family will enjoy it. It goes from 8:00 to 1:00 Utah time every Saturday. I will not be there on Saturday the 15th, our family will be finally going to Magic Mountain & Hurricane Harbor for a few days on a long needed get-a-way!!!

All I have to say is I SUCK!! I blogged about a month ago that I could probably make about 3 of these per week. Yeah right!! The links are fun to make, but I don't like sewing them together. Oh, well! I will post a finished purse soon.

Messenger Bags for School!

I made these messenger bags for a few of my nieces who's families have contributed many things for Trash to Treasure. They will use these instead of backpacks for school. They each got to pick their color & style. Each bag has a double cell phone pocket, inside wallet, and a matching pencil holder. The button on the front has their name on it. They turned out very cute. If anyone is interested in one of these I am making them custom only for $20.00. Just let me know the color or flavor. Thanks!!

My Juice Pouch Apron's & Zippered Pencil Pouches!

These are my zippered pencil pouches. They come with 5 #2 pencils & they are $3.00.

Check out our new summer projects!

I am trying to learn how to make these candy wrapper purses. Above is one my sister Candice got in Mexico. Below is one that I have started. I believe once I get the hang of it I could make 2 or 3 a week. (we will see)!!!

The kiddo's & I also have been making bookmarks out of boxes that we have saved up to use for something, we finally found there purpose. I made a sticker with my info on back. I can use them like business cards!

A summer project of my kids has been recycling old crayons into new ones. My daughter Jazmyn has a blast and makes about 30 new crayons per day. These will be great for my next show that I do! Thanks to everybody who cleaned out there crayon boxes & gave them to us!!

The June Jamboree!

Kenadie's Scripture Bag

My niece Kenadie wanted a bag to carry her scriptures to church in so I came up with this. It turned out so cute, & it is the perfect size. It does have a cell phone holder on the back, & a pocket on the inside. I have added these to Trash to Treasure, Just check along the right hand side of my blog.

New sewing machine!!

I have been using one of my Mom's sewing machines to make my purses. I think the machine was maybe 25 years old or even older. (Shaunna & Kim's names are carved in it!!) You could tell it's age by the difficulty of trying to sew through these thick Capri Sun & Koolaid pouches. I got this Singer Simple from Wal-Mart for around $100.00. I think it was a very good buy. I love this machine. It is so basic & simple to use. If anyone is interested in getting into sewing I would highly recommend this machine to you!

The Cutest Little Shoppers!!

I had 3 cute little shoppers stop by for a purse today. It is Jaiden, Abby, & Jacie.

They are so cute!!! They also drank plenty CapriSun so I can make more purses. Thanks Girls!!!

My niece Brooke wanted a CapriSun Bag. She had her size, flavor, and everything else picked out. Well, I finished it last night and I think it turned out pretty darn cute. Brooke has very good taste!!

My new blog!

I thought it was about time I started a new blog showing all that I love to make. I enjoy recycling items into things that we love!! Anyone is welcome to shop with me.
