My name is Lorie Dominguez. I am happily married with 6 kids. I've lived my whole life here in the Mesquite area. I now live on our little ranch here in Scenic, Arizona with my family and all of our animals. It was here in Scenic that I found my new craft that I really enjoy, that is making crafts with recycled items. New sewing machine!!

I have been using one of my Mom's sewing machines to make my purses. I think the machine was maybe 25 years old or even older. (Shaunna & Kim's names are carved in it!!) You could tell it's age by the difficulty of trying to sew through these thick Capri Sun & Koolaid pouches. I got this Singer Simple from Wal-Mart for around $100.00. I think it was a very good buy. I love this machine. It is so basic & simple to use. If anyone is interested in getting into sewing I would highly recommend this machine to you!

    Mom has 2 old sewing machines & they both have Kim & Shaunna carved in them. You guys were just marking your territory!! It's OK!!
