About Me

My photo
My name is Lorie Dominguez. I am happily married with 6 kids. I've lived my whole life here in the Mesquite area. I now live on our little ranch here in Scenic, Arizona with my family and all of our animals. It was here in Scenic that I found my new craft that I really enjoy, that is making crafts with recycled items. This hobby is referred to as "Trash to Treasure", these items are down the right hand column of my blog. I love what I do, and I hope you will also enjoy it! My Items make great gifts! So buy it and try it. You can see pretty much all that I make down the right hand side of my blog. If anyone is interested in placing an order with me, I take checks, cashier check, and money orders. You can place your order in a comment, or email me at Loriejuan@hotmail.com. Thank-you

Aluminum Can Hair Barrettes

These barrettes have become one of my favorite things to make. The colors are so bright and you can make so many different designs.

I find myself looking around for that perfect can but I have decided my best looking ones come from the Arizona Iced Tea cans. I line the barrettes with foam so they are not sharp then I add a 4 inch barrette on the back. Then they are good to go:)

  1. Another great idea from you! Love this one. Soon I will be sporting soda cans in my hair! ;) Thanks for linking up with us!

  2. Very cute idea!
Do you cut them by hand or with a punch?
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. I use a paper punch. I wouldn't dare cutting them by hand;)

  4. So cute & creative! :) Following from Sumo‘s Sweet Stuff link party. Would love to have you link this up to my {wow me} wednesday link party going on right now over on my blog. Hope to see you there.
